Today you will have the opportunity to fly to the birth place of aviation, First Flight (FFA) at Kitty Hawk, NC. This is an entry you will not want to miss in your log. I guarantee you will be impressed, no, STUNNED, with the display of the Wright Bros. “first flight”. Consider, most of us have bounced further, at least in our training!
A lunch stop at the infamous Howards Pub in Ocracoke is planned. Our own Greg Wright will be leading this expedition.
A NC aviation map will be provided for each plane going to FFA with enroute sights marked on the map but this will NOT be a formation flight or aerial tour.
With good weather this is a delightful VFR trip along the NC coast and over the NC Outer Banks. All in all this is an opportunity you will not want to miss. I do encourage you to “buddy up” and fly with someone if possible as the ramp space at FFA is very limited. We are planning this trip on Thursday to miss the expected weekend “rush” at the ramp.
Local area activities will be available for those not going to FFA.
