August 2019 Issue
News:
With both our annual gathering and Oshkosh now part of our good memories, the Summer flying season is streaking by quickly. Lots still to do, places and sights to see.
We've got a few Regional Gatherings on the chart w/ both Triple Tree and the AOPA gathering at Tullahoma coming up soon. These are good times. Get out and enjoy your airplane. Take someone along and share the privilege.
About when it starts to cool off a bit, the FL crew typically gets together on a semi-regular basis for breakfast at Sebring or some other venue. There is no need to 'wait' for an opportunity, as you can make your own. Postings about improptu gatherings are an accepted thing at CPS. Sometimes a few airplanes show, sometimes more than a few. YOU can be the leader for a simple breakfast get together with little more than an idea, date, and destination. Make it happen!
This time of year, pilots of every feather are practiced and current. Sharpness and talent are honed nicely w/ Summer weather cooperating. As we begin to reach into Fall, make it a committment to keep that sharp edge as the weather starts to get challenging, and those pesky cool crosswinds keep lesser aviators grounded. It's far easier to stay sharp than to get sharp.
This issue: The Centurian Crowd has been dazzling us w/ some excellent shots of their 'stately' and fine-lined birds. Pix in this e-letter are from that thread....

This issue we are PROUD to link you to a small victory, where a budding pilot's achievements are guided by one of our own. In such hands, GA has a strong future. A note of thanks and genuine compliments to Mark Zimmerman. Bragging Rights

One of the other areas where some of our fellow CPS Members show some mettle is the "Member's Exchange" area. Stuff is occasionally offered to fellow Members not 'for sale', but because someone wants to see an asset continue to do good work. Books, odd-ball airplane gizmos, etc. It's a good place to land when you're looking to clean up the den of unused stuff that might still have good use for another. Kind of a nice place:
Newsletter: While we focus on discussions going on in the Forums, we welcome your requests and submissions for inclusion in this Newsletter. Send requests/submissions to: newsletter@PROTECTED
What You Are: The viscera and depth we have come to expect from our daily participation in the Forum Discussions is a compliment to YOU. A willingness to share mistakes (great teachings come from mistakes) as well as victories sets aside the secure individual from others. Thank you all for the trust and confidence you place in each other's care on a daily basis. Well Done!
