The CPS Discussion on the 2020 Gathering Begins!
We are starting the discussion, looking for venues/volunteers/ and times to be discussed and considered.  Everyone that has ever attended one of these gigs comes away smiling and with a drive to attend the next event.  We're looking for folks willing to host, and we're looking for your feedback on those proposals.  These events are great because of the people that run them as well as those that attend.  Be part of the process please.

2020 Gathering for CPS Discussion. Where will it be?

The Golden Hour

Fall Flying!

What can be better than going for a flight when the heat of Summer is broken?  While the days start to shorten (reminding us always that nothing is forever), the cooler temperatures mean it is easy to prevail on our family and friends to accompany us aloft for an adventure.  The airplane performs better, there are less 'bumps' as the Summer build-ups are fewer, and the crowds at destination airports are thinned out just a bit because the kids are back in school, while you are out playing.

Enjoy this time, and please try to take a moment to share those times with your fellow CPS Members.  Your stories, photographs, and narratives take everyone along for the ride.  We gain your experience, some insight into your operational methods and how yet another respected pilot makes those critical choices as to route/weather/ and general Airborn Decision Making.

Op Ed:

A recent discussion on the Forums was about how the faces of CPS have changed over the years since '05 (or maybe it was '06).  A 'Legacy Photo' of the group that gathered in Pullman Washington/Moscow Idaho was posted for the get together that Judy hosted way back when.   Lots of familiar faces in that snapshot.

Some faces change.  New guys join in and become treasured friends. Some we lost, and they are missed.  There's some grey hair, some longer belt-lines, but those grins are still there.

Those that were at one time the new young blood who have 'evolved' to take a place as one of the old heads, and we all pass along what we know for the good of this collective. A few of us are fortunate to have aquired some crow's feet around the eyes, not from age, but from smiling, while flying into the sun.

You guys are the best, and it is a real pleasure to be part of this group.

Go get your share of crow's feet this Fall flying season!
